  1. Kind to My Feet I walk everywhere, 5 to 10 miles a day. I have these, Lowa and Vasque. All are good shoes but these feel the best. They absorb impact well on each step, feel secure on messy winter surfaces, fit well so nothing rubs wrong, give good support. Less fatigue in my feet is my number one goal. They also look good and are easy to put on and off.

  2. Odd fit I'm a big fan of Merrells and was pretty excited about this model. Unfortunately, they didn't work for me. As someone else mentioned, they fit oddly around the heel...it doesn't grip around the heel so it feels like you're going to step out of the shoe. The other issue for me was the M-Dry lining...it's too thick which made the shoes very constricting. I've experienced with with other Merrell models with MDry as well (Moabs and Chameleon Stretch).

  3. The water proof quality is great my feet have never been wet after 4 months ... I have owned 10 pairs of Merrell ventilators and am a huge fan. I need a low top shoe that was all black and waterproof to wear on duty with short at the Fire Department. The water proof quality is great my feet have never been wet after 4 months of wear. BUT!!! These shoes do not feel like normal merrells. They feel like wooden shoes made in holland. Not a great shoe for being on your feet for any extended length of time.
