About Timberland

For three generations, Timberland has built a reputation for making rugged outdoor gear. In 1973, Timberland introduced their first waterproof leather boot, setting new standards for craftsmanship, durability, and protection for the outdoors. Timberland gear is built with a passion for the outdoors that is reflected in the company’s commitment to the environment. The eyelets on the Whiteledge hiker are designed to move slightly. This allows the lacing system to contour to the foot as the wearer flexes and bends his foot. This is a traditional feature of hiking boots.

Good multi-use boot I live in a warm climate and purchased these boots as a crossover boot. I wanted something I can use to give for good support and comfort in the warm flat place where I live… and as a cold weather boot when I visit the Northeast. I found them to be extremely comfortable and useful for both.

Been through it all; best boots I’ve ever owned It’s hard for me to say enough great things about these boots. I initially bought them while I was in college in upstate NY, where winters are long and snowy and springs are wet and muddy. I thought they were a decent-looking pair of comfortable boots i wouldn’t mind wearing to class on poor-weather days. What I never expected was how well and how long they would perform in a wide range of fairly demanding scenarios.
